About us
The All India Federation of Retired
University and College Teachers (AIFRUCTO) was constituted on March 16,
2014, in the Presidency College, Chennai. Many retired teachers from
different parts of the country gathered and formed an ad hoc committee.
Presently, 45 units of 23 states and union territories are affiliated
with AIFRUCTO along with more than 4000 Life Members. The Federation
holds annual conferences and two National Executive Committee Meetings
every year. We have divided the entire country into ten zones. Each zone
organises zonal meetings to discuss its issues. The All India Federation
of Retired University and College Teachers functions as a collective
voice for retired teachers, advocating for their rights, welfare, and
dignity. It coordinates with state-level associations to address
pension-related grievances, healthcare needs, and social security
concerns. The Federation organises annual conferences, publishes
informative bulletins, and engages with policymakers to influence
reforms. It fosters camaraderie among retired teachers through cultural
and academic events, while promoting continued intellectual engagement.
By upholding the legacy of lifelong educators, the Federation ensures
that their contributions to society are recognised and their
post-retirement life remains secure, purposeful, and respected. |
